M25, Chicago Seed Fund, meets with Pittsburgh's startups

M25 Ventures is developing a strong, supportive presence in the Midwest, with Pittsburgh serving as its eastern border, and Omaha serving as its western edge.  The region welcomes the interest and outreach from the Chicago firm, who often hosts its companies at events and seminars in the Windy City.  M25 has invested in Pittsburgh firms, Anglr and JetPackWorkflow

Visit to John Deere leads to pilot program for Pittsburgh start-up

In November 2016, three Pittsburgh start-ups visited John Deere's Innovation Team in Moline, IL to talk shop.  As a result, one of the companies, Skycision, led by CEO Brendan Carroll, will partner with the industry leader in a pilot program this spring featuring the start-up's crop surveillance technology.  Austin Webb of Robotany and Jorgen Pederson of RESquared presented their innovation as well.
