Pittsburgh Entrepreneur Community Recap: May 2016

The beginning of each month, we review what’s been going on in the Pittsburgh entrepreneurial community for the previous month – what changed, who grew, and what people are saying. Plus, we want to make sure we keep you up to date on the things FortyX80 has been up to lately.

Check out our April recap if you missed it.

What We’ve Been Up To

  • We hosted the winners of Startup Weekend Women Pittsburgh, Go Jane Go, for a brunch to candidly discuss starting a company, the Pittsburgh entrepreneur community, and what we think about the “women in tech” movement. The personal format proved to be insightful for everyone – we look forward to hosting more events like these.

  • We held an event to honor our friend Bill Campbell and discuss what’s next for HomesteadCampbell Labs was introduced, which will incubate new companies and provide them with mentorship and connections with Bill’s friends and colleagues from Silicon Valley.

  • Relatedly, Audrey Russo penned a tribute to Bill’s spirit and legacy.

  • We’re making the final arrangements for an entrepreneur bootcamp from the Angel Resource Institutejoin our newsletter to be the first to know when the schedule is available.
